Frequently Asked Questions
We're sometimes asked how we fit a larger shock into the Dodge front end without cutting out the coil buckets and welding in reinforcements.

"For a shock bigger than a 2.0, does the coil bucket have to be opened up to a bigger diamater so that the shock will not hit or bind as it cycles?"

We have implemented two techniques that allow us to keep the coil buckets intact, WHILE providing the most travel in the industry.

1) We use Sway-A-Way shocks because they fit the Dodge application to a "T". For instance, a Fox or King 10'' travel shock is 2'' longer in compressed form when compared to a Sway-a-Way 10.5'' travel shock. Notice you loose .5'' of travel and you have to fit a 2" longer shock into the same spot thus cutting and welding becomes necessary. The secret is in the top cap of the shocks. The Fox top cap screws INTO the bodies while the Sway-a-Way top cap screw ONTO the bodies. The pistons actually travel into the Sway-A-W top cap if you were to x-ray them at full compression. The Fox and King shock design adds 2'' to their shock to accomodate their top cap design.

2) We set the industry standard in Shock Tower height. Tall towers and a shock that will fit tight spots = a Geometrically Superior System that will pull more travel. No monkeying around with custom length shocks or cutting and welding on your prized possession.
